Endra, Inc. is commercializing a breakthrough medical imaging technology that combines the properties of light‐based (optical) imaging with ultrasound to enable advanced medical imaging. Based on the principles of photoacoustics, Endra's equipment utilizes ultrasound to detect the miniscule amount of heating caused by laser light deep within tissue, providing high contrast imaging at depths and spatial resolution far exceeding existing techniques.

Endra's photoacoustic products are unique in their ability to provide rapid functional images of structures such as tumors, blood vessels, lymph nodes, and other tissues at a fraction of the cost of most current medical imaging devices, thereby addressing critical unmet needs in pre‐clinical, clinical, and point of care imaging settings.

The US market for medical imaging equipment exceeds $15 billion. Endra's products will function as stand alone devices or accessories to the existing ultrasound device installed base, which exceeds 200,000 units in the US and represents an annual market approaching $2 billion.

Endra has assembled a world class team of scientific, clinical, and pharmaceutical industry leaders with the objective of commercializing core photoacoustic IP in order to add physiological and molecular imaging capability to widely available ultrasound devices.
